Born on January 4, 1939, in Rush Twp., Schuylkill Co., she was the daughter of Russell and Agnes McGrath Huegel. Her passing leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a life well-lived.

Kathryn grew up in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, where she spent her formative years surrounded by the love of her parents and siblings. She cherished her childhood memories and carried the values instilled in her by her family throughout her life. Kathryn’s parents, Russell and Agnes, provided her with a strong foundation of love, support, and guidance.
Professional Life and Volunteer Work
Kathryn’s life was marked by a deep commitment to serving others. After dedicating many years to being a devoted homemaker while raising her children, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a driver for the Pennridge School District. For 21 years, she safely transported students, ensuring their well-being and fostering a positive learning environment. In addition to her professional endeavors, Kathryn’s compassionate spirit led her to care for seven foster children and several fresh air children. Her selflessness and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others were truly remarkable.
Kathryn’s faith played a central role in her life, and she was an active member of the Mennonite community. After relocating to Pine Grove, she joined the Roedersville Mennonite Church, where she continued to serve and contribute to the church’s mission. Kathryn is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Earl Moyer, who stood by her side through thick and thin. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in her four daughters: Debra and John Lapinski of Denver, PA, Marlene and Michael Trevison of Hampstead, N.C., Wendy and Earl Geissinger of Lavaca, AR, and Melissa Abels of Pylesville, MD. Kathryn was also blessed with 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and happiness to her life.
